Your doula
Hi there! I am so honored you are here. I’m Grace. As your postpartum doula, my primary aim is to bring you a sense of stability, peace, and confidence amidst the newness and messiness of motherhood and the growth of your family. I am here to celebrate and support you in your transition, whether you are a new parent or are becoming a parent again. The journey of bringing new life into this world can take an infinite number of paths, and it is my job to be by your side so that you can most fully and presently support your new baby.
I’m a Texas-native who came to the west coast for adventure and stayed for love and for the love of the ocean. Growing up, my mom constantly had to tell me: “you get to be sister and I get to be the mom.” Nurturing has always been in my blood, and I am thrilled to get to use these strengths of mine to work alongside women and families during some of the most raw and vulnerable weeks of their lives.
I am a trained postpartum doula through DONA International and am currently in school to become an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC). With a background in trauma-informed nonprofit work, I step into the messy sacredness that is a growing family with calmness, sensitivity, and understanding.
I hope to hear from you soon!
With love,
Grace Pfeffer (she/her)

Moose is my favorite and most spontaneous Craigslist purchase to date.

I'm a total water baby! From lap swimming, to cold plunges, hot springs, cliff jumping, surfing, free-diving, and scuba diving... I love it all.
In 2017, myself and 2 friends cycled 1,700 miles from Seattle to San Diego to fight sex trafficking. Years later, Pedal the Pacific has raised almost $1 million for the anti-trafficking movement.

Hiking is my favorite form of recreation.

I'm always snapping photos of flowers on my walks.

I am scuba and free diving certified!

Moose and I moved from Texas to California in 2020. We love it here!

While nutritious eating is important, especially after giving birth, I'm a big believer in moderation and intuitive eating. I've got a big sweet tooth!
I love the ocean, but if I had to choose, I think rivers might be my favorite form of body of water.

While I appreciate a warm shower and am grateful to have a roof over my head most nights, I love to get out in nature, explore, leave the phone behind, and camp with my little family.

Hiking the Trans Catalina Trail in 2021 was my first week long backpacking adventure. I loved it!

How could I resist? Moose is most happy in a wide open field where he can run!

In the last year, carrots surpassed broccoli as my favorite vegetable.

I'm grateful you are here. Whether we have lots in common or very little, I am looking forward to meeting and serving you!
